Tips and Tricks for Meeting Disney Princesses at Disneyland

Now that we’ve learned all there is to know about Disneyland Disney princesses, we are going to give you our best trips and tricks to meeting them!

Be the early bird!

Disneyland princesses can be VERY popular and we’ve seen that many Disneyland guests like to run to the rides, leaving character lines much shorter in the mornings. We’ve also found that some of the best days to have Disneyland princess meet and greets are on rainy days. The Disney Land princesses sometimes even have on special clothing if it is a cold day, making for a super special experience.

Download the Disneyland app

The Disneyland app is great to find the locations of the Disneyland princesses meet and greets, as well as, character appearance times. This is for regular Disneyland characters only, so it will not have unique or random character encounters. The Disneyland app is also helpful for not only Disneyland princess information, but for mobile ordering, Disneyland entertainment schedules and even the Disney Genie.

Look out for character attendants

We mentioned earlier that characters have been known to randomly appear throughout the parks, and one of our best tips to share is that they will never be alone! If a random Disneyland character is about to appear, you might see a Cast Member standing in the area where they are planning to be. These Cast Members typically can answer any questions regarding Disneyland princesses or where to find them throughout the parks, as well.

Dress the part

Children under the age of 14 are allowed to wear costumes to Disneyland, with some exceptions. Adults are allowed to “Disney Bound,” which is where you can wear outfits inspired by your favorite Disney characters. Either way, it makes the experience so much more fun if the Disney princesses can recognize you.

Catch a show

If you’re like me, you might be a little bit shy, especially when it comes to meeting Disneyland princesses. Sometimes finding the right thing to say to royalty can be difficult, but I still like to wave, say hi or even snap a photo or two! One of the best ways to see Disneyland princesses in action is during a show, where you can experience the magic of Disney but from afar.

Prepare ahead of time!

Like mentioned above, sometimes meeting Disneyland princesses or any face characters can be very intimidating. Prepping ahead can give you the ultimate Disney princess meet and greet experience.

  • Ask princesses about your favorite part or character in a movie
  • Ask Moana if she’s seen Hei Hei recently
  • Ask Cinderella about the Fairy Godmother or the mice
  • See if Ariel or Rapunzel have any hair tips
  • Simply ask for a photo!

All of the above questions are totally fun and acceptable to ask the Disneyland princesses during a meet and greet. Remember, they aren’t always knowledgeable on the world outside of their own, so some questions might not be appropriate to ask our royal guests.

Make an autograph book

One of the most magical ways you can remember your Disneyland trip is by making an autograph book to capture all of your favorite’s signatures. Disneyland Disney princesses love partaking in this tradition and can offer up a rather unique character experience too. Little ones tend to love this tradition, and autograph books can be brought into the parks if you’d like it to be extra personalized. Don’t forget an extra pen or marker just in case something happens!
