10. Venetian Gondolas

One attraction you would not exactly expect to see in Tokyo Disney is the Venetian Gondolas, which is one of the reasons why we love it so much! This transports you to feel as if you are riding through the canals of Venice, making it one of the most immersive and best DisneySea rides. It is a relaxing boat ride that provides beautiful views of the park and a unique Disney experience.

TPT Tip: Not only are the views great but so are the gondoliers! They will speak in Japanese and Italian. Remember that this attraction will close in high winds and during shows in the “Mediterranean Harbor.”

9. Toy Story Mania

Step into the world of Toy Story and challenge your friends and family in this 4D shooting game. Join Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the Toy Story gang as you take aim at targets and earn points in a series of interactive carnival games.

US Park Comparison: This is one of the few DisneySea rides that is similar to the Disney attractions in the US. This attraction is almost identical to the Toy Story Mania attraction found in Disney parks in the United States. The facade is different however so make sure to snap a photo of the giant woody head!

8. Soarin’ Fantastic Flight

Take flight on Soarin’ – an adventure above some of the world’s most iconic landmarks. Soarin’ Fantastic Flight takes you above landmarks and gives you the sensation of hang gliding.

TPT Tip: This is the most popular DisneySea attraction. The wait is typically over two hours long. Secure a FastPass early in the day to avoid long wait times, especially during peak hours.

US Park Comparison: This ride is very similar to the Disney parks attractions in Florida and California. That being said, we have skipped this in the past due to the long wait time and the fact that we can ride it at home!

7. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Dive under the sea via submarine in this classic Disney attraction. Keep your eyes peeled for encounters with marine life as you explore the ocean.

US Park Comparison: This ride is similar to Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage in Disneyland (without the Nemo theme) and the 20,000 Leagues ride that closed in Magic Kingdom in 1994.

6. Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage

If you are a fan of dark rides, you will absolutely love this one. Join Sinbad on his voyage through various lands where you will encounter various characters, scenes, and tales to help save his homeland. With its catchy soundtrack, Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage is a must-ride for us in Tokyo DisneySea theme park every trip!

TPT Tip: If it’s not a busy day, or you miss out on the FastPass window, the wait times tend to drop towards the end of the night. Consider riding Sinbad’s during this time for a shorter wait.

5. Aquatopia

One of the most unique theme park rides we have seen is Aquatopia! Board an Aquatopia hovercraft and float through fountains, whirlpools, and water features. There are many unexpected twists and turns that make for a fun time!

TPT Tip: If you are visiting in the summer, be prepared to get wet! They turn on more water effects as a fun way to cool down in the park.

4. Raging Spirits

Thrill seekers, this one is for you! Raging Spirits is the only coaster with a loop in Tokyo Disney. Brace yourself for a pulse-pounding journey into the heart of an ancient temple on this short yet high-speed roller coaster.

TPT Tip: Single riders can often enjoy shorter wait times by utilizing the single-rider line.

3. Journey to the Center of the Earth

One of the most special, unique, and exciting rides in all of the Disney parks is the dark ride/thrill ride combo, Journey to the Center of the Earth. Dive deep into the volcano, Mount Promytheus as it is on the verge of erupting! There are many surprises along the way and the immersion is some of the most impressive we have ever seen.

TPT Tip: Visit this ride early in the day or during parades and shows for shorter wait times.

2. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

In Tokyo DisneySea, Disney fans will recognize the iconic tall-standing Tower of Terror. However, this version has a twist. Harrison Hightower III obtained a cursed idol named Shiriki Utundu. Ignoring the advice of his friends and employees, he failed to show respect to Shirki. On the night of December 31, 1899, Shirki came to life and sent Harrison plummeting down the hotel’s elevator shaft. Fast forward to the present day, the New York Preservation Society has reopened Hotel Hightower for tours! Take the elevator up to Harrison’s penthouse, we can’t promise you that it may be intercepted by Shiriki…

US Park Comparison: Tower of Terror DisneySea has a different, original story compared to “The Twilight Zone” theme in Disney World and “Guardians of the Galaxy” theme in Disneyland. Tokyo’s theme is an original story that is extremely compelling. This version is also less intense than Walt Disney World’s Twilight Zone of Tower of Terror.

1. Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull

Hop in a military troop transport vehicle on this thrilling journey. Join Indiana Jones as you venture deep into the heart of a booby-trapped temple in search of the legendary Crystal Skull. From narrow escapes to death-defying stunts, Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull offers non-stop excitement and adventure from start to finish, making it a must-see attraction and the best ride in Tokyo DisneySea.

TPT Tip: Snag a FastPass early in the day or utilize the Single Rider line to minimize wait times for this popular attraction.
