The Best of the Fest at DCA Food and Wine Festival

The food at DCA Food and Wine Festival is inspired by the great state of California, offering a variety of creative and fresh dishes. Every year we attend the California Adventure Food and Wine Festival and are super impressed with what we get, like the Snickers Macaron (which is a MUST every year and our favorite 😍)

The Best Food at the DCA Food and Wine Festival

We were able to sample through our Sip and Savor Pass to get a rather good idea of what kind of food is at the Food and Wine Festival. Our Sip and Savor had pass let us try a variety of sweets, drinks, and savory dishes. Overall, we were impressed with the food at the DCA Food and Wine Festival and we’ll share our favorites and our least favorites here!

The Best of the Fest

  • Snickers Macaron – Chocolate Mickey-shaped macaron filled with caramel ganache and made with SNICKERS bar pieces – $7.75 THIS IS OUR FAVORITE!!!! Every year this is the BEST treat and never a skip.
  • Impossible Parm Bites – Crispy Impossible Chicken Bites with marinara sauce and Plant-Based Cheese – $8.50 – For Vegan Foodies, this is pretty much safe staple that will be VERY good for the Food and Wine Festival.
  • Carnitas-style Pork Belly with esquites corn mac salad featuring Tajín Habanero – $9.00 – While the pork belly was a little dry, it was still delicious. The mac salad is the star of the show.
  • Cannoli Churro – Churro rolled in cinnamon-sugar topped with cannoli cream, chocolate chips, and puff pastry – $7.25 – Skip the puff pastry topping and this churro is a ten. Delicious, soft and semi-sweet cannoli cream. YUM!

Worst of the Fest

  • Baja-style Fish Taco with cabbage slaw, cilantro-lime crema, and pico de gallo – $7.25 – This dish was inedible. Unfortunately tasted like bad fish and we did not like this!
  • Frozen Old Fashioned: Non-alcoholic bourbon-flavored ice cream, bitters crema, orange zest glaze, and cherry spheres – $7.00 – Refreshing ice cream bar, not old fashioned inspired in our opinion.
  • Cheeseburger Bao with Thousand Island dressing, grilled onions, pickle, and tomato relish  – $8.50 – There’s no reason for this crossover. Its gross, and there could be something more traditional much better!

  • Olive Oil Cake glazed with lemon curd, topped with vanilla bean Chantilly, and finished with fresh candied lemons, strawberry crunch, and lemon-lime gelée (New) – $7.00

  • Huckleberry-Citrus Cooler: Gold Peak Black Tea, huckleberry and agave syrups, grapefruit soda, and lemon and orange juices garnished with an orange wedge (Non-alcoholic beverage) (New) – $7.00

  • IMPOSSIBLE Beef Stroganoff: Egg noodles tossed in a mushroom cream sauce with IMPOSSIBLE beef and sour cream (New) – $9.00
