Disney World EPCOT Rides Ranked 2023 (Worst to Best)

In this next section, we are going to rank all of the EPCOT Disney World rides in 2023. We have ranked these rides on overall ride experience, thrill and storyline. Without further delay, here are all EPCOT rides ranked.

#11 – Mission: SPACE

best-rides-at-epcot

What to Expect: Mission: SPACE is an intense simulation ride where guests can experience being blasted off into space with two separate storylines and intensity levels. You are assigned to a 4-cadet crew with one of four roles: navigator, pilot, commander or engineer, each with unique tasks to make this a successful mission. This ride at EPCOT is infamously known to cause motion sickness among the guests. Those who attempt the more intense orange side, endure a simulation of G-Force inside of a centrifuge while quite literally blasting off to Mars.

Green Mission takes you on a more family friendly adventure with no spinning and just a gentle ride around the moon.

Location: World Discovery

Tips and Tricks: Keep the Dramamine on hand if you are brave enough to go to Mars with the Orange Mission. From personal experience, we have not had great outcomes when we have tried this EPCOT attraction in the more intense choice. Try Green first, if you like it, then go for the Orange Mission!

Height Requirement: 40 inches or taller

#10 – The Seas with Nemo and Friends – EPCOT Best Rides for Families

rides-at-epcot

What to Expect: Dive deep into the sea with Nemo in this ride at EPCOT in 2023, that is perfectly suitable for kids, families and everyone in-between. While aboard a “clamobile” guests swim through familiar scenes from Finding Nemo being guided by our favorite nautical friends. This is a slow moving, dark ride at EPCOT in Disney World which has a cute story and layout but is a little underwhelming.

The best part about this EPCOT attraction is that afterward, you exit the ride right into an aquarium! You are then allowed to wander and view all of the live animals like manatees, sea turtles, sharks, dolphins and more.

Location: World Nature outside of the Land Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: While this ride is kid-friendly, it is also very dark and can be scary for little ones. We absolutely recommend afterward taking plenty of time exploring The Seas and even finding Cast Members who can tell you fun facts about the animals who live there.

Height Requirement: Any height

#9 – Journey into Imagination with Figment – Best Rides at EPCOT for Kids

What to Expect: A slow moving, dark ride that travels on a tour through the Imagination Institute with silly interruptions from our dragon friend, Figment. In this EPCOT ride 2023, guests are invited on a tour a science institute that runs experiments on the five senses. You can visit the Smell, Sight and Hearing labs before Figment the Dragon teaches you about The Imagination! After a visit in Figment’s house, guests are allowed to explore their own imagination in the ImageWorks “What If” Labs.

Location: World Celebration

Tips and Tricks: The wait time for this ride in EPCOT is always rather low, so if you’re planning out an itinerary, Figment can fit wherever! The best tip is to hang around in the What If Labs at the ride exit. These are perfect activities for kids to explore their senses and have fun with interactive games. There are also regular meet and greets with Baymax and Joy inside.

What to Expect: A gentle boat ride through the beautiful sights and sounds of Mexico while accompanied by the 3 feathered amigos. Guests are welcomed to board a small boat during this ride at Disney World in EPCOT and travel down the Rio Grande River to search for our pal, Donald Duck. You can sing along with catchy music, or help Panchito and Jose look for Donald as you make your way down the river during this best EPCOT ride.

Location: World Showcase – Mexico Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: Our favorite part about the Gran Fiesta Tour is that it is located inside the pyramid at the Mexico Pavilion. It truly is beautiful inside of the building and we love that during your boat tour, you are able to sail right past guests dining at San Angel Inn Restaurante. A fun fact is that this Disney EPCOT ride is also a tribute to the 1944 Disney film: The Three Caballeros.

#7 – Spaceship Earth

What to Expect: A slow-moving, dark ride that takes you on a journey through time to revel in all of humankind’s greatest accomplishments. Spaceship Earth is a ride at EPCOT that is not only entertaining, but educational. Are you reading this now? You can thank the Phoenicians, which we learn all about in the EPCOT ride. Witness all of the greatest moments since the dawn of humanity with elaborately designed sets, and slightly outdated animatronics.

Location: World Celebration

Tips and Tricks: If you’ve never ridden Spaceship Earth, you have to take a journey on this classic inside of that iconic geosphere located at the EPCOT entrance. This EPCOT attraction is 16 minutes long and perfect if you need to get out of the Florida heat and spend some time indoors. This maybe isn’t the best attraction for little ones, as it is like a museum on wheels!

This EPCOT ride is educational and entertaining, making it perfect for all guests!

Location: World Nature – Land Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: We highly recommend trying this ride during Christmastime where it gets a special overlay of beautiful lights and decorations. Living with the Land is also a Disney World EPCOT ride that allows guests to have sneak peek at what happens behind the the scenes. You get views of horticulture labs and real food that is grown to feed Walt Disney World guests. If you get a reservation at Garden Grill, you can try a bite of what is grown right beneath you!

#5 – Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

What to Expect: A trackless family-friendly ride that takes you around the familiar scenes of the film Ratatouille. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is one of EPCOT’s new rides, introduced for the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Walt Disney World. It is also one of the best rides at EPCOT because it uses newer technology to truly immerse you into the experience. It is 4D simulation ride where you are shrunken down to the size of a rat to help out Remy and his friends escape from danger!

Location: World Showcase – France Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: Since this is one of the newest rides at EPCOT, we suggest either “rope dropping” the attraction or even purchasing a Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane. Our biggest tip for this EPCOT attraction is to not waste TOO much time waiting in line. The wait times can be rather high, and we don’t think it is worth over an hour wait to ride.

Height Requirement: Any Height

#4 – Frozen Ever After

What to Expect: A musical, family-friendly boat tour through Arendelle with appearances from all of our favorite “Frozen” characters. Frozen Ever After is one of EPCOT’s best rides because there is so much thought put into the overall storyline and construction of this ride. It is impossible to not sing along as you make the journey to Elsa’s Ice Castle on the North Mountain in your boat. This ride is made for kids, adults and anyone else who loves the “Frozen” films but watch out, you might get a little wet in the waters of Arendelle.

Location: World Showcase – Norway Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: The wait times for Frozen Ever After always tend to be higher than most rides at EPCOT. This is another EPCOT attraction where rope dropping or Genie+ Lightning Lane might benefit your party. The inside of the queue is very pretty and makes you feel as if you are visiting

#3 – Test Track

What to Expect: A coaster-type attraction that allows guests to test their own vehicle designs made at the Chevrolet Design Center. Test Track is one of EPCOT’s best rides because of just how thrilling it is. It is the fastest ride in Walt Disney World, reaching speeds of 65 mph in your 6-passenger “SIM Car.” During this ride in EPCOT, you can speed through straightways, travel through the rain and test out if your car would make the Chevrolet cut.

Location: World Discovery

Tips and Tricks: Before you actually board your SIM Car, you and your party will be asked to design your very own car at the Design Center. Test Track is a unique Disney EPCOT ride in that your design will follow you through the entire attraction! You will see it’s scores in real-time, so make sure you remember to scan your Magic Band or ticket when you’re done designing.

#2 – Soarin’ Around the World

What to Expect: A simulation ride that makes you feel as if you are gliding through some of the most beautiful geographical destinations on Earth. Strap in, and hold on tight with one of the best rides in EPCOT, as you soar through the skies to see the world’s wonders. This ride has it all! Like a 180-degree, 80-foot IMAX projection dome that plays stunning footage and real scents that invigorate your senses as you glide. Soarin’ is a classic ride at EPCOT, and shouldn’t be missed for those who love to sightsee and be a part of the action.

Location: World Nature – Land Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: When boarding Soarin’, the best seats in the house are in the front row, right in the center. Since everyone is hand gliding, or simulating hand gliding, the feet of riders dangle above the heads of those below them. If you have a fear of heights, you might not like this ride as it is one of the EPCOT rides that takes to the skies.
