Disney World EPCOT Rides Ranked 2024 (Worst to Best)

In this next section, we are going to rank all of the EPCOT Disney World rides in 2024. We have ranked these based off of overall enjoyability, storyline, and thrill level. Without further delay, here are all EPCOT rides ranked.

#11 – Mission: SPACE

best-rides-at-epcot

What to Expect: Mission: SPACE is an intense simulation ride where guests can experience being blasted off into space with two separate storylines and intensity levels. You are assigned to a 4-cadet crew with one of four roles: navigator, pilot, commander or engineer, each with unique tasks to make this a successful mission. This ride at EPCOT is infamously known to cause motion sickness among the guests. Those who attempt the more intense orange side, endure a simulation of G-Force inside of a centrifuge while quite literally blasting off to Mars.

Green Mission takes you on a more family friendly adventure with no spinning and just a gentle ride around the moon. Personally, this EPCOT ride 2024 is a skip on our list.

Location: World Discovery

Tips and Tricks: Keep the Dramamine on hand if you are brave enough to go to Mars with the Orange Mission. From personal experience, we have not had great outcomes when we have tried this EPCOT attraction in the more intense choice. Try Green first, if you like it, then go for the Orange Mission! If not, you might be dealing with motion sickness, or even vertigo in our case!

Height Requirement: 40 inches or taller

#10 – The Seas with Nemo and Friends – EPCOT Best Rides for Families

rides-at-epcot

What to Expect: Dive deep into the sea with Nemo in this ride at EPCOT in 2024, that is perfectly suitable for kids, families and everyone in-between. While aboard a “clamobile” guests swim through familiar scenes from Finding Nemo being guided by our favorite nautical friends. This is a slow moving, dark ride at EPCOT in Disney World which has a cute story and layout but is a little underwhelming.

My favorite part about this top ride in EPCOT is actually the exit, which guides you out into a rather large aquarium. You are then allowed to wander and view all of the live animals like manatees, sea turtles, sharks, dolphins and more. We love saying hi to the manatees Lou and Lil’ Joe that call the The Seas with Nemo and Friends home!

Location: World Nature outside of the Land Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: First, Nemo is one of the best rides for toddlers at EPCOT, as it is very slow moving without restraints on the seats. The attraction is bright and colorful, and full of Nemo, which is guaranteed to be a hit with kids. The best part is not only the aquarium at the end, but Turtle Talk with Crush is also located in The Seas area. It is a great spot to let kids play and explore while beating the Florida heat!

Height Requirement: Any height

#9 – Gran Fiesta Tour – Featuring The Three Caballeros

rides-at-epcot

What to Expect: Guests are welcomed to board a small boat during this ride at Disney World in EPCOT and travel down the Rio Grande River to search for our pal, Donald Duck. You can sing along with catchy music to help Panchito and Jose look for Donald as you make your way down the river during this best EPCOT ride.

If you love catchy tunes and Disney originals, then you’ll love the Gran Fiesta Tour. This attraction is perfect for those who appreciate older Disney tech that has lasted the test of time. And, we absolutely love the Donald animatronic in this top EPCOT attraction 2024.

Location: World Showcase – Mexico Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: Our favorite part about the Gran Fiesta Tour is that it is located inside the pyramid at the Mexico Pavilion. It truly is beautiful inside of the building and we love that during your boat tour, you are able to sail right past guests dining at San Angel Inn Restaurante.

If you’re an adult, you can always stop at La Cava de Tequila, which is a must do EPCOT spot for drinks!

Height Requirement: Any Height

#8 – Journey into Imagination with Figment

What to Expect: In this EPCOT ride 2024, guests are invited on a tour a science institute that runs experiments on the five senses. Without getting very far, guests are interrupted by Figment, the fun purple dragon that explores the Imagination.

Even as adults, we adore this attraction and find it to be a must do in our group. We love singing along with Figment and bouncing from showroom to showroom to see what he does next. It’s also slow moving, which makes it one of the top attractions at EPCOT for all thrill levels.

Location: World Celebration

Tips and Tricks: There is actually a lot of magic that happens around the actual Figment attraction. For example, the What If labs are at the exit of the ride, which is a interactive games for the family. There are also multiple meet and greets inside – like Joy, and even potentially Figment himself soon!

Height Requirement: Any Height

#7 – Spaceship Earth – Best Classic EPCOT Attraction 2024

best-epcot-rides-spaceship-earth

What to Expect: Spaceship Earth is a ride at EPCOT that is not only entertaining, but educational. Are you reading this now? You can thank the Phoenicians, which we learn all about in the EPCOT ride. Witness all of the greatest moments since the dawn of humanity with elaborately designed sets, and slightly outdated animatronics.

At the very least, we absolutely love this best EPCOT attraction for a 15 minute nap. While learning about the history of communication is very entertaining, we love this ride for a chance to sit and a chance to go inside of the famous geodesic sphere!

Location: World Celebration

Tips and Tricks: Your teenagers and little ones might not appreciate the history lesson, but we love this history museum on wheels. Our best tips for this top EPCOT ride is to skip rope dropping it! Since it is located right at the entrance of the park, guests tend to pool at open, causing it to have a longer wait than necessary.

Height Requirement: Any Height

#6 – Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – Best Rides at EPCOT for Kids 2024

best-epcot-rides-remy-ratatouille-adventure

What to Expect: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is one of EPCOT’s new rides, introduced for the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Walt Disney World. It is also one of the best rides at EPCOT because it has newer tech like 4D simulation and trackless vehicle cars!

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is extremely lighthearted, and you will leave with a smile on your face. Especially if you love the film, this will be one of the best things at EPCOT for you!

Location: World Showcase – France Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: Since this is one of the newest rides at EPCOT, we suggest either “rope dropping” the attraction or even purchasing a Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane. Our biggest tip for this EPCOT attraction is to not waste TOO much time waiting in line. The wait times can be rather high, and we don’t think it is worth over an hour wait to ride.

Height Requirement: Any Height

What to Expect: A coaster-type attraction that allows guests to test their own vehicle designs made at the Chevrolet Design Center. Test Track is one of EPCOT’s best rides because of just how thrilling it is. It is the fastest ride in Walt Disney World, reaching speeds of 65 mph in your 6-passenger “SIM Car.” During this ride in EPCOT, you can speed through straightways, travel through the rain and test out if your car would make the Chevrolet cut.

Maybe we are just EPCOT snobs, but we think that the old Test Track version used to be much better. We also don’t love the storyline of this EPCOT best attraction – it just doesn’t really fit EPCOT.

Location: World Discovery

Tips and Tricks: Since Test Track is one of the few thrill rides at EPCOT, it tends to have a long wait all the time. The Single Rider Line at Test Track is one of the best in all four parks. There is typically never a long wait if you don’t mind splitting up your party.

Height Requirement: 40 inches or taller

#4 – Frozen Ever After

What to Expect: A musical, family-friendly boat tour through Arendelle with appearances from all of our favorite “Frozen” characters. Frozen Ever After is one of EPCOT’s best rides because there is so much thought put into the overall storyline and construction of this ride.

It is impossible to not sing along as you make the journey to Elsa’s Ice Castle on the North Mountain in your boat. This ride is made for kids, adults and anyone else who loves the “Frozen” films, hence, why we think is it truly one of the best attractions at EPCOT.

Location: World Showcase – Norway Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: You will get wet on this ride. It has not matter where we sit, or how we try to duck – Frozen Ever After will most likely leave you with wet pants. For us, its uncomfortable, but doesn’t stop us from loving this top ride in EPCOT. We also suggest stopping in the Kringla Bakery outside for a fresh School Bread pastry, which is our favorite snack on the Showcase!

#3 – Living with the Land

What to Expect: A gentle boat ride through the labs and greenhouses of EPCOT’s Land Pavilion. Fruits, vegetables, fish and more – hop aboard a big green boat for a firsthand look on how Walt Disney World’s horticulture team operates! During this ride in EPCOT at Disney World, guests can learn about the importance of food and all the different ways you can grow it. This EPCOT ride is educational and entertaining, making it perfect for all guests!

It may be a shock, but we LOVE this ride. You can’t find an attraction like this anywhere else, and we love that it puts you behind the scenes in Disney’s food production.

Location: World Nature – Land Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: We highly recommend trying this ride during Christmastime where it gets a special overlay of beautiful lights and decorations. Living with the Land is also a Disney World EPCOT ride that allows guests to have sneak peek at what happens behind the the scenes. Book a Behind the Seeds Tour to get an up and close experience with the Disney Horticulture team.

#2 – Soarin’ Around the World

What to Expect: A simulation ride that makes you feel as if you are gliding through some of the most beautiful geographical destinations on Earth. Strap in, and hold on tight with one of the best rides in EPCOT, as you soar through the skies to see the world’s wonders. This ride has it all! Like a 180-degree, 80-foot IMAX projection dome that plays stunning footage and real scents that invigorate your senses as you glide.

Soarin’ is a classic ride at EPCOT, and shouldn’t be missed for those who love to sightsee and be a part of the action. We love that Disney went the extra mile with the immersion of this ride, hence why it’s at the top!

Location: World Nature – Land Pavilion

Tips and Tricks: Personally, the regular queue of Soarin’ is one of my least favorite to stand in. Therefore, if there is a long wait, I will tend to skip this line if I don’t have a Lightning Lane. With that being said, it can’t be skipped, as it is on of the best EPCOT attractions 2024.

Height Requirement: 40 inches or taller

#1 – Best Ride at EPCOT – Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Coaster

best-ride-at-epcot-guardians-of-the-galaxy

What to Expect: The first ever reverse-launch coaster in Walt Disney World with a car that can move 360 degrees. The Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is the newest ride at EPCOT, debuting on May 27th, 2022. Since this EPCOT coaster debut, we have been on it countless times, as it is truly amazing.

Our entire team agrees that Cosmic Rewind is the best ride in Disney World, and we try to ride it at least twice every single visit. There is something about dancing along with the Guardians at high speeds that really brings the magic. Disney really knocked it out of the park with this best ride in EPCOT and we can’t wait to be back to ride it!

Location: World Discovery

Tips and Tricks: Unfortunately, this might not be the best EPCOT ride for everyone. Guardians of the Galaxy has been known to severely trigger motion sickness for guests, with all-day First Aid stays. So, we would say to not chance it and definitely make sure you have your motion sickness medication on hand for this ride!

Height Requirement: 42 inches or taller
