And as a general rule of thumb Disney World is about 70 miles away from the Atlantic Ocean. However since Disney World is in Orlando, and Orlando is in the inland of Florida, the distance to the beach varies depending on where you want to visit. Below are the most common ways to measure the distance from Disney World to the beach.
Disney World distance from the beach
• By car: When you measure the distance from Orlando International Airport, it’s about an hour and a half away. Add about 30 minutes for the drive to Disney World.
• By air: The closest airport is Tampa International Airport. It’s about an hour and a half away from the parks.
• By hotel: You can drive to the World, then check into a hotel. But you will be spending extra on a room, so you can also just stay at a hotel right by the beach.
